OUR STORY
Founded in 1993 at the Rosebank Sunday Market as Soap for Africa, this family business has been reimagined under the leadership of Claire Stephenson, a wellness practitioner with over 25 years of experience. Now rebranded as AfriClarity, the company creates Pure Glycerine Soaps for self-care, hospitality, and corporate gifting.
The elephant in our logo carries deep personal meaning. As a single mother, I wanted a venture that offered both income and recovery from my physically demanding wellness work. The logo’s colours reflect my son’s and my favourite shades—his being orange and our shared love of elephants, symbols of strength, wisdom, and connection. I’m reminded of watching a film with my son Stuart, where mother elephants journey across the desert, trunks linked to keep their young safe.
